“I have discovered photography. Now I can kill myself. I have nothing else to learn.”

Pablo Picasso is generally credited for the above quote.  But he didn’t kill himself.  Perhaps he too found out that discovering photography is just the beginning of an unending joyous relationship in which the learning never ends.  Or, more likely, he was just being hyperbolic.

I am based in Gurugram (formerly Gurgaon) near Delhi (India) and have been photographing since the early 90s. But I’ve not always been a photographer. After a few years in corporate India in the mid 80s, I held a tenured university professorship that I resigned after two decades and joined the growing list of those who’ve given up their careers to pursue their passions. I specialize in what I enjoy shooting the most – interiors, architecture, landscapes, nature and animals – all using only available light.

Most of the interior photographs in the gallery were shot on assignment. Besides those, nearly all other images in the gallery are available for use as fine art prints, or for products such as calendars, etc. Do feel free to contact me if any of them interests you, or even as a fellow shutterbug to exchange notes – its always nice to connect with like-minded folks! Thanks for visiting.
